ILITA's objective is to connect and promote women in the trusts profession at all stages of their careers. ILITA offers events for social networking and professional development enabling those from the industry to forge and develop connections with others within the industry – particularly, in the Cayman Islands.
Ladies in Trusts was originally founded in 2014 by Shelley White of Walkers to provide local networking events to women working within the trusts industry in the Cayman Islands with attendance from top-tier offshore law firms and trust companies.
Ladies in Trusts was re-branded as ILITA, the International Ladies in Trusts Association, in April 2021 with a view to extending ILITA's benefits internationally. ILITA is now run by Shelley White, Lucy Diggle and Daisy Boulter of Walkers.
