All undergraduates at Imperial College can take Change Makers modules in any year of study with either Imperial Horizons (non-credit, extra credit or degree credit depending on year and home department), or as their I-Explore module (pass/fail) in their designated I-Explore year. All our modules allow students to explore different sustainability issues - from personal challenges to social, political and environmental challenges. Our modules are designed to support students to work collaboratively with others - and we think together a lot about how to make choices, how to work in teams, how to manage our own personal workload and responsibilities, how to use our imagination and creativity, how to engage our own interests and curiosities in our work and how to create change. Our work in class might feel very different to that in a typical lecture, lab or seminar - we are developing unique skills that can be translated into many different areas of life and work. We use a combination of classroom and online communication and learning to make sure you're equipped to work in a range of environments. You will be included in the design of your own assessments - with lots of help, ideas and support - making sure that we are using your strengths to their best, and supporting development of things that you find challenging. All our classes are fully inclusive - we want to meet and work with you as yourselves and will happily support anything you need to enhance your learning or support you in our work together. All assessments are completed in class time, with lots of feedback (delivered in the style you prefer) to make sure that you feel happy with your work and submit your best possible assignment.
