IDRAK, a registered NGO under the Companies Ordinance 1984 with registration number 00000003020/20070106 (GCN 3942) , is striving to base development on evidence and human rights, ensuring integration of these two priorities in development programmes throughout all phases, i.e.:
In the identification of development goals;

Among the rights explicitly protected by various declarations and covenants are the rights to life, education, access to and Enjoyment of a decent standard of living, adequate health facilities and well being, access to justice and fair trial, good governance, and access to safe water and sanitation.
Since all Human beings are born equal in dignity and rights therefore, these rights are moral claims, which are inalienable and inherent to all human beings. The universality of Human Rights simply means that all human beings, by virtue of their being human, have the same rights everywhere all the times. A human being from one part of the world does not have any less right than another from a different part of the world. Based on this premise, Initiative to base Development on Rights and Knowledge is actively working to promote a Rights Based Approach in areas of Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, Education, Local Government Policing/Law & Order and Access to Justice, Gender and environment.
