In 2017 zijn diverse vooruitstrevende glastuinbouwondernemers bijeengebracht door Wageningen University & Research (WUR) in de zogenaamde INNO20. De groep ondernemers is samen gaan werken met de glastuinbouwonderzoekers van WUR aan teeltproeven en onderzoek naar nieuwe verdienmodellen voor de glastuinbouw, met een focus op nieuwe gewassen voor Nederlandse hightech glastuinbouwkassen.
Om de onderlinge samenwerking verder te bekrachtigen is in 2020 Coöperatie Inno Growers U.A. opgericht. De volgende glastuinbouwbedrijven zijn lid van Inno Growers: The Valley, Ter Laak Orchids, Personal Vision/ MR Seeds, Dings Aardbeien, Fresh Peppers, Duijvestijn Tomaten, EveryD Flowers en Plant World.
Binnen deze gezamenlijke onderneming ligt de focus op dit moment op het telen van speciaal voor inhoudsstoffen gekweekte planten, telen van gewassen voor plantaardige eiwitten, teelt van katoen én teelt van exotisch fruit.
