De EQ2 methodiek Basisemoties is ontwikkeld in overeenstemming met de laatste wetenschappelijke inzichten rondom de totstandkoming en de werkzaamheid van het EQ en is daardoor vernieuwend qua opzet en aanpak. De EQ2 methodiek bestaat uit 5 trainingen, waarbij elke training een van de 5 basisemoties betreft. Het aanbod is groepsgericht en interactief, gericht op overdracht aan jeugdigen vanaf 9 tot en met 15 jaar waaronder: Leerlingen binnen het reguliere- en/of speciaal basis- of voortgezet onderwijs. De methodiek draagt aan haar doelgroep systematisch emotionele vaardigheden over die voortvloeien uit de 5 basisemoties: Zelfbewustzijn, Empathie, Doorzettingsvermogen, Sociale Vaardigheden en Hoop. De methodiek gaat gepaard met een gestandaardiseerde effectmeting en is intensief van aard. De trainingen worden op specifieke wijze dagelijks, gedurende een periode van 10 weken, aangeboden.
