International Commerce Exchange Systems, Inc® (ICES) - an internet ventures and technology holding company, which grew to a valuation of over $1 billion, hosting over two dozen enterprises. The company was applauded for its pioneering achievements in establishing one of the earliest seed accelerator models, and spearheading early e-commerce models. In the healthcare sector, ICES took over a majority interest in a subsidiary of a publicly-traded AMEX company with revenues of $40 million and with over 200,000 patients. ICES also acquired a brick and mortar business in the low tech, fragmented long-term care industry for $2 million, and developed the company into a successful and powerful e-commerce enterprise valued at over $60 million. At ICES, Chairman Henry Kauftheil conceived and built Internet-based direct marketing system iTract, which was valued at over $400 million at the time of its public announcement. ICES formed a partnership with the World Trade Centers Association and developed a prototypical B2B marketing system - an online catalog of over 5,000 products in the closeout and general wholesale merchandise categories. ICES negotiated deals with two of the major trade show organizers in North America, Miller Freeman and George Little Management, to extend their trade show activities to the Internet, creating eMarketplaces to manage these partnerships and to pursue new relationships. eMarketplaces evolved into a $50 million e-commerce solutions provider.
