Psygro (Psychiatrische Groepspraktijk) biedt basis- en specialistische Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg aan kinderen, jeugd en volwassenen. Daarnaast biedt Psygro POH GGZ en consultatie van een specialist/psychiater bij huisartsen. We zijn een door de zorgverzekeringswet erkende GGZ-instelling.
Psygro is opgericht in 2004 door de psychiaters Ellen Romeijn en Jan Doorn. Zij wilden geestelijke gezondheidszorg laagdrempelig en makkelijk toegankelijk maken en boden deze zorg aan in de praktijk van de huisarts. Deze werkwijze van Psygro blijkt een groot succes. Steeds meer cliënten weten de weg naar Psygro te vinden. Behandeling vindt dichtbij huis en in vertrouwde omgeving plaats. Omdat de psychiater betrokken is bij de diagnostische fase, kan een behandeling vaak na een kort traject worden afgerond. Behandelaars van Psygro kunnen snel met de huisarts overleggen. Zo staat de situatie van de cliënt altijd centraal in de behandeling.
