Invisalens is a US-based brand of eye care solution founded by one of Arizona’s top eye care specialists, Dr. Mark Page. It is a brand of custom-designed retainers (overnight correction lens) designed to manage and arrest the development of myopia or nearsightedness, especially among children.
A person with myopia has an eyeball that is too elongated or a cornea that is too curved which is why the light entering the eye cannot focus clearly, thus, distance vision becomes blurred. The use of overnight lenses, also medically known as corneal refraction, overnight eyesight correction or Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), involves the wearing of custom-made gas permeable lenses that gently shape the cornea while a person sleeps.
