We are a UK-based business offering language services including translation - French and Spanish to English, and English to French; interpreting, copywriting, proofreading, minute-taking, overdubbing and more.
Kate and Jemima are Language professionals with over 30 years’ experience in translation, interpreting, minute-taking and proofreading. They have worked in-house for a range of high-calibre clients, notably the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, whose members include heads of state and European royalty. They have also undertaken freelance work for the Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, and for clients in a wide range of industries, including Legal, Film and Television, Hospitality and Construction.
After her studies, Kate joined the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1992. She worked as part of the Language Services team for over 30 years, translating, proofreading and travelling the world to take minutes at the IOC Executive Board and Session (General Assembly) meetings. With a vast field of expertise in translation - including Legal, Marketing, Finance, Medical, International Cooperation and Sports - Kate has recently worked on media translations for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, including press releases and the guides for the opening and closing ceremonies.
Having studied French and German at Royal Holloway, and then Spanish at the Open University, Jemima has always had a fascination with languages. She has lived in France, Germany, Argentina and Malta. After teaching English in the UK and working in French translation for a mining company in London, Jemima pursued a career in banking where she worked for banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Barclays in programme and business management. With her customer-facing approach, Jemima will be your first point of contact at Iris.
