Istrian Tourism Development Agency was founded in 2003. Its goal was to build a network between tourism workers and coordinate everyone involved in Istria's tourism in order to develop sustainable tourism products and projects involving both public and private sector.
In addition to managing the official destination website, social networks and contact center, the Istrian Tourism Development Agency manages two other
projects: Istra Inspirit within the Department of Experience and Cultural Tourism and Bike & Outdoor within the department of the same name. Both projects have been recognized beyond the borders of the Istrian County and represent an example of good practice and synergy of the public and private sector.
