The Systems, Multidisciplinary & Advanced Research Techniques (SMART) is a Multidisciplinary Research Interest Group of the International Centre for Information Technology & Development (ICITD), Southern University, Baton Rouge, USA. In collaboration with the ICT University Foundations and other international partner institutions, SMART organizes the International Science, Technology, Education, Arts, Management & The Social Sciences (iSTEAMS) Multidisciplinary Conference Series and publishes extended versions of papers presented at the isteams conferences/original articles in the Advances in Multidisciplinary & Scientific Research (AIMS) Journal Publication Series and other highly indexed and rated Journals At a period when the world and society at large is undergoing tremendous challenges on all fronts, there can be no better time to cluster together brilliant minds that can provide scalable solutions and answers to the questions that bugs peoples' minds. These solutions will of course start from multidisciplinary thinkers and when put together in the right perspective and mixed with the right ingredients, create a synergy that can address other instances of similar challenges globally. The iSTEAM conference series is a multidisciplinary and collaborative research and practice forum that explore how new, innovative and emerging forms of technologies can aid research, practices and development in different spheres of human endeavours. The objective is to emphasize collaborative, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research as a paradigm shift that can better address the myriads of socio-economic, political, scientific, infrastructural and human capital development challenges posed to the world today. iSTEAMS offers a nexus for discourses, debates, dialogues and presentations on novel approaches that engage digital tools and related measures as pragmatic measures through which the dividends of a digital-driven age can be realized.
