Janala a social welfare organisation established in November 2013 with the aim to connect the privileged and underprivileged youths by the means of social work, which eventually will bring change in the society and help to build a planet without discrimination, hatred but full of love and peace. “Janala” means window in English. It is a platform (A source) which will help the youths to enlighten themselves and others in form of humanity, morality etc. through social activities. As our motto (Janala – A Place Where Healing Begins) suggest, through the participation in our activities, our members, volunteers, advisors and donors come to realise the necessity of the deprived people, the mismanagement and mistakes each of us do in our regular life which directly or indirectly harm the society and environment, as a result they start recovering the mistakes and become a better human. On the other hand, people who are being helped, the environment and the society as a whole are already wounded in the fight of survival, we extend our hand to the people in need and help the society to heal and build a better environment. There are lots of voluntary works done individually, which we aim to collaborate and make it more effective and sustainable. We appreciate every single act or help for the society but we believe, accumulating all those individual help will be off greater benefit for the world. We believe social work does not only help the people in need but also help the person involved with the work. Voluntary work improves skills like leadership, management, attitude, team work, communication etc. We think, this will help the society to create future leaders and reduce the number of unskilled and inactive people. Janala was founded by Marjan Ahmed Chowdhury, Dewan Mahid Raza Chowdhury , Mahtab Hussain and Kamrul Islam Hira at their very young age.
