日本デジタルトランスフォーメーション推進協会の前身の、日本中小企業情報化支援協議会は、日本を活性化するためには中小企業の情報化が必要という理念のもとに、地方や中小企業のIT化を推進するための人材育成、啓蒙普及活動、プロジェクトなどに10年間取り組んで参りました。

今必要なのは、デジタルトランスフォーメーション（DX）を推進することで、時代の変化に俊敏に対応できる組織への変革、顧客ニーズにあった事業創造、新しい顧客体験の創出を実現することにあると私たちは考えています。
しかしながら、多くの企業でDXの重要性は理解されているものの、業務改善やシステム刷新レベルで止まることも多く、取り組みは十分とは言えません。
当協会では、次世代では当たり前と言われるデジタル技術を使いこなす企業を増やし、希望が溢れる未来を創るために、DX推進人材育成、新規事業創出支援、地方創生、政策提言など通して日本におけるDXの推進に取り組んで参ります。
