Jeffco Eats is dedicated to ensuring no child or family in Jefferson County, Colorado, goes hungry. We provide nutritious, culturally appropriate food through a mobile pantry model, delivering groceries directly to those facing food insecurity in Title One schools, GAP schools, Section 8 housing, rec centers, parks, and Head Start programs. Food insecurity remains a critical challenge for many families in our community, impacting children’s health, learning, and well-being. By targeting weekend and weeknight hunger, times when school meals aren’t available, Jeffco Eats fills a vital gap with consistent, quality food support. Since 2017, we’ve grown from serving just a few schools to partnering with over 50 distribution sites, powered by a passionate volunteer base. Each week, volunteers collect, pack, and deliver food totes filled with nutritious groceries, fresh produce (when available), and snacks, ensuring families have what they need to thrive. Our programs include: Totes for Hope: Weekly grocery bags providing 9-14 food items to families during the school year. Food Pantries: On-site pantries stocked with hand-sorted food boxes at 18+ locations. Summer Weekend Food Totes: Addressing hunger gaps during school breaks. Snack Programs: Supplementing school meals when funding allows. Jeffco Eats operates with deep community collaboration, uniting schools, housing communities, nonprofits, and volunteers, all committed to building a stronger, healthier, hunger-free Jefferson County.
