JIMBRO was born from a group of nature lovers, to make wines and other natural products in protected areas of great ecological value. The Arribes del Duero Natural Park is a unique space, where the Douro forms a natural border with Portugal and where it was finally decided to take the first steps of our Wine Project. In this remote area of Castilla y León, we discovered a unique potential of minority autochthonous varieties in danger of disappearing, a group of grape varieties unknown to both wineries and markets, with an enormous potential to offer something different, a new register of wines with a surprising identity. At JIMBRO we do not base the quality of our wines on complex production techniques but on the care of cultivating the character of our wines from the vineyard. Each vineyard is a group of individuals rooted to the terrain and our wines are made with the reflection of this knowledge....a selection of vines, grape by grape, building the character.
