Constructed as an art space aiming to bring contemporary art and art lovers together, Artnext Istanbul Contemporary Art Space opened in 2012 at its venue in Windowist Tower, Maslak. As of 2016, Artnext Istanbul will continue to be an art space where contemporary art meets daily life, as KARBON GALLERY.
Getting its name from the carbon element which is the consistuent of all life, Karbon Gallery set off believing that art is also one of life’s consistuents. Along with its new formation, Karbon Gallery intends to aggregate daily life and contemporary art.
Karbon Gallery, will be supporting young, talented and promising artists to execute their projects; concurrently with guiding its mission of integrating art and inhabitants of the hectic work life in Maslak area where Karbon Gallery is located.
2012 yılında açılan ARTNEXT Istanbul Çağdaş Sanat Alanı, Windowist Tower’da yer alan mekanında çağdaş sanatı izleyici ile buluşturmayı amaçlayan bir sanat alanı olarak kurgulandı. ARTNEXT Istanbul, 2016 yılından itibaren KARBON GALLERY ismiyle çağdaş sanatı gündelik hayatla buluşturan bir mekan olmaya devam edecek.
İsmini yaşamın yapı taşı olan karbon elementinden alan Karbon Gallery, sanatın da yaşamın yapı taşlarından biri olduğu inancıyla yola çıkarak, yeni oluşumu ile birlikte sanatın gündelik hayatla bütünleştirilmesini amaçlıyor.
Karbon Gallery, içinde yer aldığı Maslak’ın yoğun iş dünyasının sakinlerini sanatla kaynaştırmak misyonunu güderken genç, yetenekli ve yapıtları ile umut vaat eden sanatçılara da projelerini gerçekleştirmeleri için destek olacak.
