Voorbeelden hiervan zijn Pentaho, Firebird, MySQL, maar ook Oracle XE en ApEx.
De no-nonsense uitstraling kenmerkt zich heel sterk in de manier van aanpak. Applicaties moeten dienstbaar zijn aan het proces, niet andersom. Ook zijn ze pas nuttig als ze efficiëntie creëren.
