Kenneth Ulo Foundation is a registered Not-for-Profit Organization in Nigeria with its head Office in Imo State. It was founded in 2017 with aims and objectives geared towards promoting welfare of persons with disabilities and less privilege in the Society. It has Staff strength of eight regular Staff and six active volunteers. It is a disability friendly organization that works for gender and social inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, vulnerable women and girls in the five States of Southeast geo-political regions of Nigeria. The Foundation offered various range of Community-based interventions which include; excess to quality and inclusive education, enlightenment of general public on need for disability inclusion for community development, inclusive election campaign in the grassroots, economic empowerment for all, protection and promotion of the rights of women and girls especially Blind in rural areas. Over the past years, the Foundation has touched so many lives of its stakeholders in various States in Nigeria. The Foundation in her quest to provide useful and innovative solutions to long neglect suffered by persons with Blindness in both State and National elections in Nigeria, are piloting Data gathering on all eligible Persons with Blindness in Nigeria. It has painstakingly gathered number of eligible voters with Blindness in all the Wards in Abia State. The self-funded pilot project in Abia State Nigeria is part of Kenneth Ulo Foundation resolved to “Making Inclusive Election Work” in Nigeria and for promotion of human rights for all. The documents have been handed over to the Abia State Electoral Commission for use in the subsequence elections in the State. In 2016, the Foundation implemented Special equipment for students with special needs project funded by Australian High Commission in Nigeria. Selected Schools were provided with laptops and other assistive devices worth millions of naira.
