Background:
KIBAR stands for Indonesia Muslim Community in Great Britain, a forum that coordinate communication between Indonesian localities in Great Britain. Up to date there are 17 localities that stand on behalf of KIBAR.
The members of locality are from various backgrounds: students, local worker, mixed couples with one of the spouse are Indonesian. With this diversity, KIBAR have significant roles as networking forum and also as a da’wah outreach channel for Indonesian Muslim in Great Britain. KIBAR high committee are chosen annually by locality representatives.
To support its mission, KIBAR held and support activities which are: Online TALK, Safari TALK (speaker from Indonesia), speaker collaboration among localities, online discussion, Tabung Infaq for Humanity & Appeals, academic discussion for PhD Student, Islamic TALK, Website and social media.
KIBAR’s main event is gathering which arranged twice a year, once in April (KIBAR Summer Gathering) and once in October (KIBAR Autumn Gathering). Both KAG and KSG usually attended by +300 people, and invited speakers either from Indonesia or Europe.
Our Mission:
Assist Indonesian Muslim Community in Great Britain,
which include the easiness to worship, community support, disaster & death affairs assistance and engage with local community.
