Kickback theatre email format

We are Kickback Theatre. Led by a queer neurodiverse team, we employ both original scripts and devising to create honest stories that engage and inspire our audience. Our work deals with themes of identity, experience, and change; our stories are personal and vulnerable, exploring the relationship between individual and place. Our work explores the relationship between theatre and spectator, inviting the latter into the performance space and giving them agency over the narrative direction. We encourage our audience to engage with the themes and content of our work, inspiring them to apply their findings to their own creative work and personal lives. In doing so, we aim to create active theatre experiences that leave an impression on all involved. By sourcing renewable and/or second-hand materials, we can create powerful, ethical experiences on a shoestring budget. In doing so, we aim to demonstrate the creative advantages of small-scale theatre and minimalist design, while also promoting eco-friendly practices in the Arts. We specialise in creating theatre productions, workshops, digital experiences and behind-the-scenes content. In doing so, we are able to not only produce innovative, engaging experiences but also promote accessibility in the Arts. Our digital content includes our podcast, blog, behind-the-scenes series, and original productions led by associate artists and produced by Kickback.
