Our Story: What started as a pilot project in 2006 has now developed into Kicking4Hunger, a movement that harnesses the power of soccer to help others. We use soccer to motivate communities to donate food, thus communities leave our events with a new passion for soccer and feeding the hungry Since its inception, the goal of Kicking4Hunger has been to provide a fun and educational soccer experience, free of charge, while simultaneously raising food to feed the hungry in the community. The plan is simple: instead of an admission fee to attend our soccer camp, we simply ask that each camper bring in a canned good donation every day that he or she attends. Our first year, 70+ children benefited from the pilot camp and helped raise over 1,500 pounds of canned goods that went to a local food bank in Concord, NC. Since then, we've expanded across North Carolina, raising over 17,000 pounds of food and touching the lives of hundreds of youth. We strongly believe our soccer-for-food approach should be shared throughout the world, so we have implemented a method where we can offer all of our guidance and resources to help you do what we do in your hometown.
