We make delicious frozen meals for infants and young children. They're made from natural ingredients and nothing else. In 2013, Jayne Hynes, a busy mum of two and a full time chartered surveyor, entered Start Up Britain's "Pitch up with Sainsbury's" competition and won a national listing for her range of frozen, healthy ready meals for 1 - 4 year olds. It was immediately clear that the meals were what busy parents had been waiting for: a genuine alternative to home cooking and a convenient, healthy meal that they feel good about giving to their little ones. The meals proved so popular, Kiddyum went on to win a national contract for all 5 meals, launching in 323 Sainsbury's stores across the UK in August 2015. Since then Kiddyum has launched in Ocado, with further exciting new launches planned over the next 12 months. Kiddyum is proud of it's ethical credentials, donating to the family support charity, Home-Start Salford and Manchester, with every meal sold. Kiddyum meals have recyclable packaging, more than any other competing brand. From bespoke fibreboard trays to FSC approved cardboard sleeves, as well as giving their little one a nutritious meal, parents can feel good about recycling the packaging and being kinder to the environment too. Jayne Hynes and Kiddyum have won a host of awards since launch, including the MUMII Gold award for best childrens' food brand and the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Inspiring Women Awards. Kiddyum has also been shortlisted for awards from the Prima Baby Awards, the Mother and Baby Awards and the Little London Awards.
