Kinetics Naturally My practice is simple – heal your mind body and soul through natural beauty and movement. What I do: Lead small groups of women to powerful places of natural beauty in Marin County. I facilitate day hikes for someone who needs a break from everyday life, or corporate America. I plan your day, make your lunch and comfort and nourish you! Together we do varied levels of hiking, in order to move re-awaken and re-set our mind and bodies. We start the day at the trailhead, with an intimate sharing of goals. Journals and pencils are provided, but of course you can bring your own. We savor hydrating healing green smoothies, that I prepare for you. If you don’t want one and just want to bring your coffee or tea. No problem. My goal is to bring you somewhere powerful in nature in order to realize just how small we are in the big scheme of things and to remember how immensely powerful and life-changing nature can be. I don’t want our day to be about how fast and far you go. My emphasis is on awakening body mind and soul through sight, scents smells and movement. I create an environment of healing for those who are interested in gratitude, positive thinking and building each other up. Typically we hike for 60 to 120 minutes to our destination where we inhale deeply and appreciate nature’s beauty. We enjoy lunch and fellowship and we share in a practice of gratitude. I like to write down what I am grateful for, but there’s no pressure to adhere. Just be conscious and open-minded! About me: My name is Britta. I am 51 years old and a mother of a teen and a tween boy. I have spent most of my adult life working in corporate America. In outside sales, specifically. I received many awards and accolades throughout the years. (Feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile! ☺ Read the personal references too so you get a feel for who I am. https://www.linkedin.com/in/brittabranigan/ I thought all was well until I faced a significant health issue that ultimately provided the catalyst to resign from my high paying corporate job and to re-evaluate my life plan. I am so much better now, but not surprised that happened. In retrospect, I had kids, a very demanding job that required travel, looking superficially good and thinking on my feet. All. The. Time. My husband works too and travels as well. I found that along with the stressful job and the giant quota that most of the responsibilities lay with me. I am talking laundry, food preparation, drop off and pick up at school, tutors and sports or finding someone to do those things for me between conference calls, meetings, driving and travel. I was so distracted and overwhelmed that I never took the time to count my blessings, or appreciate the beautiful outdoor environment that I moved to Marin to enjoy. Through therapy and baby steps back outdoors I was able to remember how healing nature and movement can be. In tandem I re-focused on eating healthier. I am far from perfect in this regard, but I try! I wanted to start this group for women like me. You may still be working but need a day of nature and nurture. Someone to remind you to set goals, and be grateful. I know that just finding a good place to start can be overwhelming. I hope that you will have the trust to allow me the privilege of sharing a beautiful day in your company. This is where my passion lies. I’ve always found my greatest strength in helping people and leading, but never seemed to find a good healthy fit for my skills. I hope to share my passion and love of nature with you. I want you to just get up jump in the car and go. I’ve got the food, water and sunscreen. Bring an empty backpack or maybe I can loan you one for the day. Happy healing. I hope you will join me.
