Klimabildung e.V. ist ein Team aus engagierten Menschen, das sich kreativ, handlungsorientiert und wertschätzend für Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE), Klimagerechtigkeit und Nachhaltigkeit einsetzt. Der gemeinnützige Verein wurde im Januar 2022 gegründet und hat zur Zeit rund 50 Mitglieder. Der Vereinssitz befindet sich in Bochum. Klimabildung e.V. agiert jedoch deutschlandweit und denkt Bildung bundesweit sowie lösungsorientiert.
Klimabildung e.V. ist auf verschiedenen Ebenen als Multiplikator tätig. Für die erfolgreiche Arbeit wurde der Verein 2023 mit dem Nationalen Preis Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung und der Deutschen UNESCO-Kommission ausgezeichnet. Ende Januar 2024 folgte außerdem die Nationale Auszeichnung Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung. Die Angebote und Projekte des Vereins sprechen verschiedene Alters- sowie Sozialgruppen an. Ein Fokus liegt vor allem auf den Wirkungsfeldern Schule und Hochschule. Gemeinsam mit verschiedenen Akteur*innen und Expert*innen werden Angebote erarbeitet, welche in und mit verschiedenen Bildungseinrichtungen umgesetzt werden. Klimabildung e.V. setzt dabei an der Schnittstelle von Wissenschaft und Praxis an und vernetzt die beiden Bereiche miteinander.
