Wir sind KMGNE, das Kolleg für Management und Gestaltung nachhaltiger Entwicklung. Wir sind ein Forschungs- und Bildungsinstitut und wir haben ein Anliegen: Nachhaltig(keit) zu kommunizieren. Und wir bewegen uns in Bildungslandschaften. Das unterscheidet uns von anderen Agenturen.
Nachhaltig(keit) zu kommunizieren ist nicht immer ein leichtes Unterfangen, denn Nachhaltigkeit, Klimafolgen, Energiewende sind sperrige Themen. Gleichwohl betreffen sie uns alle, im Alltag, in der Politik, bei wichtigen Entscheidungen, wie wir – und unsere Kinder – in Zukunft leben wollen.
Gemeinsam mit Wissenschaftler/-innen aus verschiedenen Disziplinen, aktiven und engagierten Menschen aus Politik und Bildung, Künstler/-innen und internationalen Fellows suchen wir nach Antworten:
Wie können wir gesellschaftliche Transformationsprozesse hin zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung gestalten?
Welches Wissen brauchen wir dazu, und wie können wir es kollaborativ entwickeln?
Aber auch: Welche Visionen eines guten Lebens unterstützen uns dabei?
Wie lernen wir Kontroversen kommunikativ und partizipativ auszutragen?
Die Auseinandersetzung mit solchen Fragen hat Tradition im KMGNE. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1998 hat das Kolleg mehr als 100 Forschungs- und Beratungsvorhaben zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit durchgeführt und zahlreiche Bildungsprojekte sowohl wissenschaftlich begleitet als auch praktisch umgesetzt.
