KOTAN Yapı İnşaat'ın temelleri 1977 yılında merhum Mehmet KOTAN tarafından orman ürünleri imalat sanayi faaliyetlerini kapsayan Gür Ormanlar'ın kurulmasıyla atılmıştır. Uzun yıllardır ahşap ürünler üreten Gür Ormanlar, daha sonra mobilya üretim sektörüne adım atmış ve ardından 2000 yılında KOTAN Yapı İnşaat adı altında inşaat faaliyetlerine başlamıştır. KOTAN Yapı İnşaat, 24 yıllık tecrübesi ve deneyimli kadrosuyla okul, hastane, yurt binaları, sağlık merkezleri ve rehabilitasyon merkezleri gibi çeşitli projelere imza atmıştır. Son 15 yıldır konut inşaatına ağırlık vermiş, yenilikçi ve modern çizgileriyle mutlu yaşam projeleri inşa etmeyi amaç edinmiştir.
Uzun yıllar boyu Erzurum'da faaliyet gösteren KOTAN Yapı, Kasım 2023 yılından itibaren İstanbul'da da sürdürülebilir çözümlerle değerli müşterilerine hizmet vermek için çalışmalarına başlamıştır.
