The Ark provides systemic support to Russians with an anti-war stance in exile and at home. Our mission is to support these people in the present in order to preserve and multiply our common opportunities and human capital for building a democratic Russia in the future.
The project works in five main areas:
Emergency aid. We help those who are leaving Russia because of the threat of persecution for their political stance. We provide free legal advice, emergency accommodation for the first time, and assistance in applying for humanitarian visas for dissidents.
Adaptation and development. We support Russians who have left or are about to leave the country by providing them with opportunities to develop their potential. We offer free language courses, training in new professions, psychological assistance, support for self-employment, and access to an extensive knowledge base on adaptation and legalization.
Community support. We create and develop professional and self-help communities in countries around the world. Ark's resource centers in Yerevan and Warsaw offer a free platform for Russians in emigration. We unite representatives of Russian businesses in emigration and those planning to start a business abroad within the Ark Business Association of Entrepreneurs.
Political involvement. We actively support the anti-war movement. We hold closed educational events for organizers of initiatives and provide information support. In the project "By the First Flight" we unite Russians on both sides of the border who share democratic values and are ready to take part in the democratic transformation of Russia after authoritarianism, and develop their potential.
International cooperation. We participate in promoting the interests of Russians in exile in international institutions, and work to increase the visibility of the Russian anti-war movement abroad
