KrcmarLab is a research group at the Technische Universität München, School of Computation, Information and Technology. Our objective is to promote socio-techno-economic innovations by applying an interdisciplinary approach that takes social, technical and economic perspectives into account. Thereby we do not only analyze and evaluate information systems and their usage, but also shape valuable and sustainable innovations. With expertise, dedication and attention to details we work on solving the needs of todays and future businesses and administrations.
The research group was originally founded in 1987 by Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar as the Chair for Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim. In 2002, Prof. Krcmar and his research group followed the call of the Technische Universität München. In October 2020, Prof. Krcmar retired as the Chair for Information Systems. Since then, the research group is known as KrcmarLab and belongs to the Chair for Information Systems and Business Process Management.
