Das Forschungsprojekt KulturXpand zielt auf die Schaffung eines interaktiven Real-World Metaverse im Kulturbereich ab. Mit Hilfe von standortbasierten Technologien, Chatbots, Augmented Reality und generativer KI ermöglicht die innovative Plattform die Erstellung von interaktiven Points of Interest (iPOI) ohne Programmierkenntnisse. Kreativschaffende können vielfältige Module wie Chatbots, 3D-Audio, AR-Visualisierungen, virtuelle Agenten oder spielerische Elemente nutzen, um immersive Nutzererlebnisse zu gestalten.
Das Projekt zielt auf Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, Nichtdiskriminierung und andere ökonomische und soziale Nachhaltigkeitsziele ab.
Das Projektkonsortium besteht aus der FernUniversität in Hagen, der EVOspark GmbH, der netzfactor GmbH, der Convaise UG und der TH Köln (Cologne Game Lab).
