KunstenHuis Idea is een cultureel centrum met meer dan 200 medewerkers en ruim 5.500 cursisten. Onze vestigingen bevinden zich in De Bilt, Zeist, Soest en Driebergen. Het Kunstencentrum van KunstenHuis Idea bestaat uit vijf afdelingen: Muziekschool, Theaterschool, Dansschool EDC, Afdeling Beeldende Kunst en VolksUniversiteit.
Cursorisch onderwijs bieden op het gebied van muziek, theater, dans en beeldende kunst vormt onze voornaamste activiteit. Wekelijks komen er meer dan 5.500 cursisten en leerlingen over de vloer variërend in leeftijd van 1,5 tot 90 jaar.
KunstenHuis Idea heeft zes bibliotheekvestigingen: Bilthoven, Bunnik, Maartensdijk, Soest, Soesterberg en Zeist. Naast het lenen van (e-)boeken, cd’s, dvd’s, tijdschriften en luisterboeken, ben je bij ons altijd welkom om binnen te komen lopen.
Daarnaast bereiken met de afdeling Scholen via projecten in het primair en voortgezet onderwijs nog eens ruim 20.000 kinderen. Tenslotte werken we met Cultuur & Samenleving aan het toegankelijk en beschikbaar maken van kunst en cultuur voor iedereen.
KunstenHuis Idea heeft vier theaters waar uiteenlopende voorstellingen, concerten, films, lezingen, exposities en bijeenkomsten voor het voetlicht worden het gebracht: Theater Het Lichtruim, Theater De Egeling, Theater De Klinker, Poppodium De Peppel en Theater Idea.
Daarnaast verzorgen maatwerk voor bedrijven en particulieren en verhuren onze zalen en ruimtes voor kunst- en cultuur gerelateerde activiteiten.
Per 1 januari 2022 zijn KunstenHuis en Idea samen verder gegaan als KunstenHuis Idea.
