Lagooni BV is opgericht door Paul Kampshoff. Deze industrieel ontwerper met Zuid-Afrikaanse roots werkte al enige jaren als industrieel ontwerper voor zijn eigen bedrijf Vision XP voordat hij Lagooni oprichtte. Ook bij Vision XP ontwikkelde hij producten voor mensen met een functiebeperking. Hij kan hierbij bogen op zijn eigen ervaring. Door zijn hoge dwarslaesie weet Paul als geen ander hoe slecht een functiebeperking en de beschikbare hulpmiddelen soms samengaan. Zijn eigen ondervindingen dagen hem constant uit om concepten te ontwerpen die resulteren in functionele en bruikbare hulpmiddelen. Zo ontstond ook het ontwerp van de Lagooni douche-toilet-rolstoel: een comfortabel alternatief voor de vaak onhandige en lompe stoelen, die op de markt zijn. ‘Mooi minder zorgen’ is dan ook het motto van Lagooni BV. Minder zorgen door persoonlijke vrijheid, zodat je met je handicap zo goed en zelfstandig als mogelijk kunt functioneren, je probleemloos en comfortabel kunt zitten, of je wereld (opnieuw) kunt vergroten door eindelijk weer eens zorgeloos een vakantie te ondernemen…
