LANDFEED aims to transform under-utilised waste from the agro-food industry, forestry, urban and natural sources into valuable bio-fertilisers, promoting local and circular solutions to increase Europe's self-sufficiency. The project will develop advanced nutrient recovery technologies and innovative coatings for these fertilisers to improve nutrient release and efficiency, resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduced environmental impact on water resources. Local use cases will showcase and disseminate the technologies and results, supporting the restoration of soil health by increasing biodiversity in line with the Soil Strategy.
