We specialize in helping students and colleges bridge the gap between potential and achievement.
College access initiatives have helped to increase the number of students enrolling in higher education by record numbers, but the question still remains, “How do we help these students successfully graduate?” Research shows that getting students off to a good start or a successful LAUNCH is critical to a student’s long-term success. Institutions, students, and families are all looking for answers on how to increase student success, so why not start at the root cause? Our starting premise is that students possess the intellect and desire to be successful in college, but often lack the skill set and processes necessary to be successful in this new chapter of life. So, we have decided to provide them with both, mindset and skill-set.
Vividly presenting the concepts and education on video and interactive textbooks, this program provides relevant and productive insights into how we think and how our thoughts affect how we act and make decisions. The tools and techniques being taught, using easily recognizable stories, examples, and concepts, can be applied immediately to help students reach their goals easily and enjoyably. Life is propelled out of the ordinary and into an exciting adventure. LAUNCH melds cognitive principles (self-efficacy, self-talk, visualization, goal setting, etc.) with student success concepts (time management, note-taking strategies, communication w/ faculty, and learning preferences/modalities) to offer the ultimate in a student success curriculum.
Currently partnering with the Community College of Appalachia to develop their Rural Educators Academy and countless other institutions in:
Intro to College, Guidance course, First Year Experience, and BIPOC Leadership Program Curriculum and Student Orientations.
