Laurentia is a trilateral independent, nonpartisan membership organization that brings together young leaders from Mexico, Canada and the US. Laurentia is composed of forward-thinking young leaders with the compromise of designing a dialogue of mutual cooperation and shaping the future of North America. It is time to build the most needed independent communication channels to enrich the North American Block conversation between the three nations.
After two decades of a growing positive relationship between Mexico, Canada, and the United States, since the turning point that NAFTA provided, we are witnessing a disintegration in The US, Canada, and Mexico relationship. The future of mutual cooperation that was laid out for the next generation is at stake. The current narrative does not reflect the future the young want to live in. We were not born in a divided world. It is time to start laying the mechanisms to find common solutions to the cross-national issues vexing the three countries: Narco, Immigration, Trade, Poverty, Climate Change. It’s vital for a prosperous future. Millions of dollars in trade, job opportunities, and economic development could be lost; millions that properly channelized through mutual cooperation could prevent poverty and migration.
The development of a trinational system dynamic framework to assess the mirroring outcomes of each country legislation and policies; it will enable the development of the needed mindset to effectively design transnational policies and legislation.
