Learning for Hire Limited is a training provider for the equipment rental industry including Powered Access, Plant Hire, Tool Hire and Event Hire companies. Training includes all elements of the hire industry including workshop / engineer training, supervisors and management. All our courses support learners working towards and gain NVQ qualifications for their role. We are an accredited centre for a range of qualifications including: Workshop Quals: Level 2 & 3 Plant Maintenance, Level 3 Thorough Examination along with Hire Operations & Hire Desk: Level 2 & 3 Hire and Rental Operations We work nationally ie. we come to you and we also have a bespoke training college just over the Welsh border from Oswestry Shropshire. At our college we run open courses i.e. you can send one learner along side two different training programmes fo new entrants to our industry including a 9 week programme for mechanics and 6 week programme for Hire Desk. Our workshop courses include basic electrics (inc PAT), engines, hydraulics, powered access, road-tow equipment (trailers) and Welding. We create bespoke training programmes for specialist equipment and support development of in-house trainers and assessors with specialist hire businesses. For compliance, we offer a range of services including site audits, equipment safety audits and machine related training including: IOSH Accredited HAV Management Essentials, Power Tool & Equipment Operation along with IOSH Working Safely and Managing Safely. We offer Level 3 in Assessing Vocational Competence and Level 3 in Teaching Training and Assessment - this allows us to qualify trainers and assessors to work with us directly or as in-house trainers and assessors. We develop practical test equipment and training resources. We developed and sell Thorough Examination and Test (TExT) kits for testing dust extractors. Lastly, we are developing e-learning modules as refresher training for existing courses.
