Leca International is a Saint-Gobain company developing, producing and marketing Leca products. Our main product is the Leca® Lightweight Aggregate (Leca® LWA), which is a simple, flexible and long-lasting product. Alone, it is just an expanded clay pellet, but combining multiple into an aggregate, the possibilities become numerous. Traditions and history Leca has been around for a long time, starting up in Scandinavia in 1938. Because of our high life expectancy we know that our products work and that they are long-lasting with a minimum of maintenance. In Leca we continue to develop and innovate our products, always looking for new partnerships and business models, that can boost Leca, our partners and the environment. Organization Leca consists of more than 500 employees in 12 different European countries. Leca® LWA are produced in factories in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland and Portugal. Furthermore, we have sales offices in the UK, Spain, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. Products and markets Our main product is the expanded clay pellet, used for various purposes, such as projects concerning infrastructure, housing and water management, where product properties like light weight, strength, durability, drainage capacity and thermal insulation are highly appreciated. In addition, the pellets are used for producing blocks and elements, which hold a high position in several of the national Leca markets, especially in Northern Europe. TOGETHER we BUILD for the FUTURE We have defined the brand essence of Leca as “TOGETHER we BUILD for the FUTURE”. 'Together' because we include our partners/ customers/ allied in the process. Many challenges are solved in close co-operation between us and designers or builders. 'Future' because the building industry is constantly changing. It is important for us to keep up with the new development within building, technology, economy and environment. Those who do not think ahead, will not be part of the future.
