Ever since 2010, Liz Harkey was never seen without a camera in her hand. In high school, she took senior pictures for the yearbook, and directed and shot artistic photoshoots for her fashion design class.
In college, she broadened her photography knowledge by practicing with a 35mm film camera and developing her photos in a dark room. By senior year of college, she was working for Bridgewater State University as a Student Life Photographer and posting albums weekly to the University's social media accounts. Her unique passion for chiaroscuro photography landed her an award-winning cover of the Bridge, an art publication by BSU.
In all of the jobs she has held, Liz has used her creative talent to elevate projects and events. For example, during her time working at Old Navy as a sales associate, she was hired by the franchisee to photograph the grand opening of that location. Additionally, when she worked as a receptionist at a local hair salon, she designed an 8 page employee handbook that is still used years later. For six years she worked as the technology instructor, graphic designer, and photographer for St. John Paul II School. It was throughout this time that she developed a strong passion for design as she was able to design many publications, including an alumni magazine and an annual report.
Throughout college and beyond, Liz made many connections who later became clients. She has photographed a few weddings, but specializes in more intimate photo sessions, such as couples, newborns, professional headshots, and family portraits. More recently, she has branched out in the graphic design world by developing custom resumes, small business logos, book layouts, brochures, and more.
