Centre for Healthy Longevity (CHL) and Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme (HLTRP), based in Singapore, brings together scientists and clinicians to investigate the multifaceted aspects of ageing. Our mission is to add healthy years of life by delaying ageing, prolonging disease-free life, and maintaining high functionality. We synergise basic and clinical science to develop biomarkers for measuring ageing, to test interventions that slow down ageing, and to create personalised implementation strategies that extend healthy life expectancy in Singapore and worldwide. Centre for Healthy Longevity is supported by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and National University Health Systems (NUHS). At NUS, the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme (HLTRP) under Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the biology of ageing. We focus on identifying and manipulating common pathways that modulate ageing in lab settings (in vitro) and living organisms (in vivo), with the goal of translating these into real-world health solutions for people. At NUHS, we are one of the six Centres of Excellence dedicated to advance breakthroughs in innovation, create new models of care, and forge collaborative partnership with the community — all to improve the quality of life for Singaporeans.
