Lux is een kleine, vriendelijke basisschool voor speciaal onderwijs (SO), waar een positieve en gezellige sfeer hangt. We bieden openbaar onderwijs aan kinderen die wat langzamer en moeilijker leren en daar extra ondersteuning en begeleiding bij nodig hebben. Dit wordt ook wel ZML-onderwijs genoemd: onderwijs voor Zeer Moeilijk Lerenden. Omdat de school klein is, kennen we elkaar allemaal en kunnen we ieder kind een veilige omgeving bieden. Ieder kind mag bij ons zichzelf zijn en ieder kind krijgt bij ons de kans om zichzelf te ontwikkelen, ongeacht achtergrond of niveau. Als team besteden we veel liefde, zorg en aandacht aan onze leerlingen. Samen gaan we op zoek naar de juiste ingangen om de leerlingen verder te helpen.
Kleine stappen zijn hier grote stappen en daar zijn we trots op. We willen de kinderen het vertrouwen geven dat ze het kunnen, dat ze het zelf kunnen en dat ze het samen kunnen. Ons doel is om kinderen zelfredzaam te maken in een maatschappij die soms best ingewikkeld kan zijn.
