The verification and testing of software is constantly gaining in importance, and the stakes in safety-critical areas such as medicine and aviation are high. Therefore software testing experts from Luxembourg have come together in the Luxembourg Testing Board (LTB) to develop and define standardized contents for training in software testing. The LTB is part of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB). The LTB and the ISTQB are both internationally recognized, independent and non-profit organizations.
The Luxembourg Testing Board has started its activities in December 2008 and was created by participants from LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, previously CRP Henri Tudor), UBS, CTG and Eureka-ITS.
The members of the board all work on a voluntary basis on the board and either already have experience on the Testing Board of another country, are specialists in the field of testing or have been working on an international standard for the testing of software for a while.
