Opgericht in 2021 door sociaal ondernemer Maurits Riton Logtenberg, directeur van Macleasy, richt de Mac Academy Stichting zich op het verminderen van ICT-afval en het creëren van arbeidskansen voor kwetsbare groepen. Dit wordt bereikt via:
- Circulaire Mac Reparatieopleiding
- Stageplekken voor IT MBO-studenten
- Projecten: Doneer je Mac dag, Mac Repair Café, Mac & IT training voor vluchtelingen.
Hoe
De stichting biedt leer-werktrajecten van 6 tot 12 maanden waarin deelnemers Apple-computers leren verduurzamen door onderhoud, reparatie en dataservices. Het programma omvat:
1. Mac Reparatie Trainingen: MBO niveau 1-4, waarbij theorie direct in de praktijk wordt toegepast
2. Interne JobCoaching: Elke kandidaat krijgt een Harrie-gecertificeerde jobcoach die ondersteuning biedt bij integratie en zelfvertrouwen
3. Vaardigheidstrainingen: Persoonlijke ontwikkeling en verbetering van soft skills
Samenwerkingen: Met organisaties zoals de Utrechter, Social Impact Factory en Macleasy voor projecten zoals Doneer je Mac dag.

Missie
De Mac Academy Stichting streeft naar een duurzamere toekomst door ICT-afval te verminderen en arbeidskansen te creëren voor kwetsbare groepen. Met gespecialiseerde opleidingen, jobcoaching en diverse projecten bevordert de stichting zowel milieuvriendelijke praktijken als sociale inclusie, waardoor deelnemers technisch vaardig en zelfverzekerd worden voor een succesvolle carrière in de IT-sector.
