We then typically perform a risk assessment to identify policies and practices that don’t comply with the law or otherwise create financial risk for your business. Once this is accomplished, we work with our clients to develop and implement policies and practices to avoid problems which would be disruptive to your operations and derail achievement of your business objectives. It’s a holistic approach to risk which is all about avoiding surprises and adverse consequences, because the best way to minimize your business’ legal expense is not to hire the best or even the cheapest lawyer to resolve a problem—the best approach is to avoid the problem from ever arising in the first place.
