Expert Witness Reports - Preparing reports for court as either Single or Joint Expert. Chris Magowan was called to the Bar in 2015 and is familiar with the Civil Procedure Rules, his duty to court & is proficient in giving evidence.
Party Wall Agreements - The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 sets out the obligations on a property owner carrying out building works that could affect their neighbour. We act as an expert to both the building owner & the adjoining owner in producing the Party Wall Award.
Surveys - A HomeBuyer Report is a detailed RICS report highlighting the main defects and recommending further specialist reports that may be required. A building Survey is intended for older properties, providing further details and including minor faults.
Surveyor Advocacy - We can act on your behalf at the lower property chamber providing an alternative approach to the traditional legal-led approach.
Leasehold Extensions & Enfranchisement - The Leasehold Reform, Housing & Urban Development Act 1993 (gives) long lease holders of flats the right to extend their lease by and additional 90 years. It also confirms the right for leaseholders of flats to collectively enfranchise, in effect buying the out the Freehold together.
