Make Germany GmbH is a social enterprise dedicated to the promotion and networking of the maker scene.
We are organising the "Make Munich", the largest maker fair and do-it-yourself festival in southern Germany. The first Make Munich Festival took place in 2013, making it the first maker festival in Germany. In 2015 the organiser team founded Make Germany GmbH to host the festival. On March 2 + 3, 2019 the 5th Make Munich will start in the Zenith Halle Munich.
With the Makers, a grassroots movement has emerged that is radically changing our understanding of innovation, production and knowledge transfer. Like any grassroots movement, however, the Movement is very agile and small in size. We help to connect initiatives and make them visible. Make Germany provides access to the maker culture and shows companies ways to interact. We help to set up maker spaces and innovation hubs. Make Germany organizes cool workshops for further education or teambuilding in the areas of Raspberry Pi, Arduino, 3D printing, bio-hacking, upcycling and much more.
Together with universities and research institutions, we investigate the effects, contexts and impact of the Maker Movement on business and society.
