De styrande politikerna i Region Stockholm vill stänga ner den unika Mandometerbehandlingen som i över tre decennier med sin kliniska verksamhet hjälpt över 2300 patienter från hela Sverige att bli friska från sin ätstörning. Under dessa 30 år har allt överskott från verksamheten investerats i den forskning som kontinuerligt förbättrat vårdmetoden till idag Sveriges bästa med omkring 1100 patienter per år.
Den nystartade insamlingsstiftelsen Mando verkar för att så många patienter som möjligt oavsett bakgrund eller ekonomi ska kunna fortsätta att få tillgång till Mandometerbehandlingen för ätstörningar.
Stiftelsen ska ur sina samlade resurser och efter ansökan lämna engångsbidrag till personer från hela landet, som vill genomgå Mandometerbehandling och som saknar möjlighet att med egna medel täcka hela kostnaden för behandlingen.
Stiftelsen kan även ge bidrag till forskning, undervisning och teknisk utveckling.
