At Manta Environmental we provide a diverse range of ad hoc environmental support to the oil and gas industry (operators and consultancies) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) lecturing support to higher education.
We are experienced in providing environmental advice and undertaking environmental impact assessment for the energy industry, including: exploration, production and decommissioning environmental statements and consents, OPEPs, OSCPs, SPSPs, technical reports, 28th Round support documents and Cabling studies. Manta Environmental can offer the following specialisms: artificial reef colonisation and environmental modelling. Our services include oil spill modelling with experience in the use of OILMAP, OSCAR and OSIS; and underwater noise and energy and emissions assessments. Our staff are trained in oil spill response up to MCA/ DECC Level 4 (IMO Level 2) - On scene commander.
We actively participate in a number of industry focus groups, such as the Oil and Gas UK: Environmental, Decommissioning and Oil Spill Response Fora; and Modelling and Environmental Decommissioning Issues Technical Groups; and the UK Underwater Sound Forum.
Our Director has over 15 years of experience lecturing in STEM subjects at a number of Universities including The Open University, University of Ulster, Durham University and Sunderland University. Modules have included Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Science, Statistics and Oceanography. Teaching experience includes face-to-face tutorials, lectures and field/ lab work; distance learning by post, telephone and online; setting and marking assignments and examinations.
