Founded in 1941 by Enzo Anacleto Mantellassi, Manteco® began as a small spinning mill dedicated to producing recycled wool yarns from old military clothing and blankets. By 1943, the company expanded into woven textiles, maintaining its commitment to circularity and sustainability from the start.

Innovative initiatives like Project43 and Project53 recycle wool fabric offcuts and unsold garments.
We also introduce our own brands of sustainable wool:
- MWool®: The next generation of recycled wool, made from pre- and post-consumer wool garments and scraps, colored without added dyes through our Recype® technique.
- ReviWool®: Low-impact virgin wool crafted from valuable co-product fibers from the worsting process, transforming waste into premium textiles.
Our relentless pursuit of sustainability has earned Manteco® membership in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Network and partnership with the Monitor for Circular Fashion by SDA Bocconi. Not to mention 'The Climate Action' award at the 2023 Sustainable Fashion Awards by CNMI.
