As part of my Japanese heritage, I grew up with the unique Matcha flavour - nothing beats Matcha ice-cream and chocolate! Two years ago, I decided the taste if it was too good not to share with the rest of the global tribe, so Matcha Samurai was born.
Yes…but what exactly is Matcha?
Matcha is the finest of young leaves of green tea served in a powder form. Other teas steep in hot water, their essence infuses into the water, but the best bit - the leaves - is discarded. Matcha is finely ground tea leaves that dissolve in the water. This means you get all the antioxidant benefits and flavour from the tea leaves.
