We worked so hard, built such a beautiful product, and got a ton of media attention. But nobody used it! I learned my greatest lesson in entrepreneurship: don't build a product FOR your users...build a product WITH your users! I then spent 200 hours learning from our paramedic app's users. I did ride-alongs & ED shadowing shifts. I enticed paramedics with pizza & beer to join me in boardrooms with whiteboards & chairs. From paramedics, to managers, to triage nurses, and emergency physicians, I asked what THEY imagined the perfect emergency healthcare app looked like. Version #2 of our app was 10X as successful, with 10X as many users logging 10X as many sessions. We're now on Version #3 and continue to learn!
