By introducing our unique natural values our objective is to inspire both children and adults to become familiar with the fascinating fauna of the Carpathian Basin. Finding delight in the wonders of wildlife is always an exalting pastime, and the more often we take the time to do so the strongest our ambition to do something for environment becomes, which is one of our most significant duties what future generations are concerned. Bence Mate, the world-famous wildlife photographer’s one-way glass bear hide can be visited all year long, and the wild European brown bears can be observed in their natural environment. Departure The programme starts 3 hours before sunset in Tusnádfürdő (Bӑile Tuşnad, Romania), in front of the railway station, and it ends at sunset. Please make a phone call to discuss the exact time of departure. Approach The hide is 3.5 km from the railway station. It will be approached by an SUV or a horse-drawn carriage, depending on the number of participants. The last 300 metres will be made on foot. Clothing Hiking clothing suitable for the weather is suggested; preferably dark outerwear in order to enhance the efficiency of one-way glass. It is worth avoiding intensive perfumes as much as possible. The hide Bears can be observed in their own, natural environment through the large window of the closed, covered and safe hide designed especially for this purpose, even in rainy weather. Cooperation You are kindly asked to take part in this programme if you can undertake the above in order to ensure a life-long experience in cooperation with the other visitors.
